Hi, We are Chris and Lydia — Airbnb Superhosts and are proud owners of Byrn Derfel House, a peaceful holiday home nestled in the beautiful North Wales countryside.
From Rutland, we still live there today with our much-loved cocker spaniel, Lyra (yes, she inspired the name!). We grew up locally, went to Uppingham Community College, and now we work running a window cleaning business and a holistic dog grooming salon. Outside of work, Chris is a huge fan of rugby, football, and Lydia is interested in all things animals.
We have poured a lot of care into making Bryn Derfel House a cosy and welcoming retreat, complete with charming touches like its original Victorian fireplace features. Whether you're here to unwind or explore, you'll find everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Located just a short drive from the breathtaking landscapes of Snowdonia National Park, our retreat is the perfect base for walkers, adventurers, and anyone who wants to soak up the beauty of North Wales. Historic landmarks like Caernarfon Castle are nearby too, making it a great spot for both relaxation and exploration.
